Villainy!
In the cave where the werebears reside, just to the south of Culthan, some treacherous person had coaxed all the werebears from the tunnels to the ladder where anyone could drop down and get mauled. Seven there were that had been brought forth from their tunnels and they were angry! Oh, they were angry!

Catherine approached the werebear's cave some time after the bears had been lured to the ladder. She saw one bear down the hole and knew some were where they should not be. Preparing for the worst, Catherine cast her sacred Paladin Fortification spell and dropped down the hole. She had anticipated five at the most but here they were, all seven, surrounding her....

After realizing that these fearsome werebears were no match for her skills, she took a quick look around. Not only had the bears been lured to the stairs, but the stairs had been broken! Whoever had done this was obviously setting a trap! After vanquishing the werebears, Catherine repaired the ladder and retired for the evening in her Culthan home.

She was pleased to have fixed the hunting grounds for anyone will less skills or experience than her would not have had a chance. It would never have been a fair fight for some poor brother or sister paladin wishing to try their very first bear.

Catherine returned again to the dwarf tunnels below Caerfa and gained much experience.


She gathered quite a lot of gold from the little hairy beasts and after selling some items and emptying all her backpacks of gold into the bank, Catherine checked her balance and was pleasantly surprised...

Catherine was killing Giant Beetles and Devastating Beetles, trying to find a Winged Ring to improve her defensive rating. Though she did not find any rings, her own defensive skills improved through combat.


She felt ready to take on some more Melket Bombadiers, this time without using her sacred paladin fortification spell. She found the task easy.

Long had Catherine desired to find the entrance to the room where the Devestating Beetle paced back and forth in the place that is appropriately called "Many Paths."

She and Manijuana stole into the caves below the Giant Beetles, first trying to hole to the west. They found nothing but more Giant Beetles and small beetles. Next they attempted the hole to the east. Catherine used her Fortification spell and dropped down into the Devastating beetle nest. There she found two of each kind of beetle (except the red one, which is normally found farther south, closer to Humwich proper). She feared that when Manijuana dropped down that he would be right in the middle of the mess of beetles so she ran away from the ladder. To her shock and horror, two more Devastating Beetles caught sight of her and rushed towards her. Luckily, the other, weaker beetles were blocking the way. Manijuana became worried because she had neither called him down, telling him it was safe, nor climbed back out to tell him it was hopeless, so he dropped down quickly to check. Since two of the Devastating beetles could not reach Catherine, they went after Manijuana instead! He hopped back up the ladder to avoid them. Catherine worked on slowly killing one of the Devastating beetles while Manijuana dropped down, used his giant Advanced Soul Fire spell and climbed back out, over and over again.

Finally every single one of the beetles was defeated and Catherine and Manijuana were free to explore the rest of the nest.

They found more Devastating beetles than they had ever seen anywhere else, but they survived the trip and finally got to stand inside the room with the pacing beetle.

Catherine gained quite a bit of experience hunting werebears and dreadlords with Manijuana.


They were invited to join a group of friends headed for The Forests of Jovsretokk and the mammoths beyond. Her good friend Baron was to be the Tank, and there was a healer, a couple other mages and a powerful ranger as well. They defeated all they came across.




On the way back to Caerfa, Catherine, Manijuana and Baron killed a dragon. After the previous monsters, it seemed so easy.

You should sum this up in a single piece of compiled text and I'll put it into the library as a pink book!

I could most certainly do that.

Really do it, maybe not as one piece as it would probably be too much text, but pick out the interesting parts and make a series of books, like, Catherines Adventures I-VI or how far you get, I'd really appreciate it if our library would be less empty. Shenlo should do the same!
