In the land of Zezenia, on the Island of Sakanrel, there arose a warrior; her name was Catherine.

Catherine wanted nothing more than to hone her fighting skills so that she could help bring peace and safety to the citizens of Zezenia. She wandered the town, helping where she could and trying to rid the sewers of the monsters that plagued them. She began to wander farther and farther from the little town as she gained experience and soon she heard of another land in need of skilled fighters: Nyrathia.






Catherine completed one last task for the banker, Emma, and went to talk with the Archduke of Sakanrel about leaving for this monster-infested land. He granted her request and she left Sakanrel forever.


Once Catherine arrived in the city of Culthan, she heard murmurings of war all around her. Various groups of Warriors, Mages and Rangers had banded together and now warred against each other. Catherine, seeking only peace for the land, gathered together a group of like-minded citizens. She called this group Cuteness so that all would know that they were a peace-loving guild.

Catherine continued to practice her fighting skills, as well as slowly learning more magic. She trained with her guild mates and some of the other citizens of Culthan.





She even sometimes traveled by boat to the distant desert of Ben Qarassih to hunt the monsters that resided there.


Though many Nyrathians and Sakanrelians courted Catherine, her heart belonged to only one. This powerful mage always gave her things that he looted from the monsters which he defeated. He gave her a beautiful Bronze Armour to keep her safe while she hunted alongside him. Another mighty mage, Shenlo, looted many golden rings and Catherine traded him gold coins for these protective items. Shenlo was one of the peaceful citizens that Catherine counted as a dear friend.


As her defensive power grew, Catherine began to hunt stronger monsters, one of her favorites being the Giant Beetle. Though she preferred to take a mage along with her for these hunts, Catherine would take these beasts on her own.

She spread the word that she would henceforth be know as The Pink Tank and would block whatever monsters she could for the mages that could not withstand direct attacks as well as she.

...and she continued to train...




She thought she might be ready to take on the might Lion of the Ben Qarassih desert she she traveled again across the seas. after a long and arduous battle in which she drank more than fifty mana potions to support her healing, she defeated the beast.

When the beast returned, she called upon a mage from her guild to help her do battle. the beast died quickly.

She continued to gain experience and fought many new monsters.


While she was showing Shenlo around the desert regions one day, they stumbled upon a cave full of fearsome creatures. The melket scouts hit Catherine hard but with her skills, she survived and Shenlo attacked the beasts with her powerful magic. They were lucky enough to find a Sword on the body of one of these beasts during their hunt.


Not all days were filled with blood and death, however. Some days were for friendship and sharing a beer with comrades.


Catherine decided to settle in Caerfa with her guildmate, Lauxes, and her beloved mage, Manijuana of the Clan of Men.



Catherine returned to the spawn of Melket Scouts where she and Shenlo had hunted before and took another of her favorite mages along: Blunt Man of the Clan of Men. They found another Sword on their hunt.


Catherine's skills were such that she could now she could easily take on several Giant Beetles at one time.


She longed to hunt the dangerous and frightening Werebear but she knew that she was not yet ready, she spent a few days honing her skills, with the help of some close warrior friends.


She knew what she would have to do to be able to fight the mighty Werebear: She must enter the Sacred Brotherhood of the Paladins.... But would they accept a woman in their ranks? How could a woman join a brotherhood? Catherine would not be able to find out until she had gained enough experience. Then she would ask if she was allowed to embark on the quest which would lead to her dreams coming true.

Catherine worked hard to develop her magical skills. She knew that the more magic she possessed, the more likely it would be that she could survive the werebears. Finally, she progressed to the next level of magic.


She continued past the Giant Beetles and down into an orknie hole, collecting gold coins wherever she went. When she emerged on the other side of the cave and began to climb the mountain on the other side, she encountered many generals but they were no match for her. Their bodies littered the ground.

Catherine saw another type of general atop the mountain and went up the stairs to attack him but he was so much stronger than the others! He was called Hrekkand and though she was able to heal and keep him at bay, she could barely hit him. Then he started conjuring generals to him and Catherine was surrounded. Catherine admitted defeat and retreated down the mountain once again. She saw another Warrior on the way back. His name was Planeta and they talked of the wars in the lands and of the Paladin order.

Catherine moved closer and closer to her goal, now only days away from being able to try the quest to join the brotherhood of Paladins.


Returning to the scouts that she had once hunted with her good mage friend, Deadk, she was shocked at how fast the scouts and soldiers returned as she ravaged their tunnels. They were fierce but Catherine won the many battles along the way.


Too tired to continue fighting, Catherine returned to Culthan for some beers with a young warrior named Pendulum and passed out in Adolf's tavern for the night.

Catherine set out again to hunt the orknies north of Culthan and gained some valuable experience which would help her on her path.


Since the orknies and their generals were so easy to hunt, she spent the time corresponding with her friends.


Once she had taken her many loots back to town, she retired to her home in Caerfa where she found her housemate, Lauxes. They decided to train in their front yard together.


Not long after they began their training, however, there came a call for help from their dear friend Shenlo. He had been defeated by a mob of Dwarf Magicians. Lauxes and Catherine ran to help retrieve the Brass Leg Protectors that the Magicians had stolen from Shenlo but they too were overcome. Shenlo returned and, using his awesome magical powers, defeated the mob of malicious Magicians. They all recovered the items that had been taken from them but the lost skills and experience would take more time to recoup.


Catherine returned home and awaited a training partner so that she could regain her precious skills.

Catherine found her new friend Pendulum again while in Culthan and they decided to train together while they fished. Catherine used the time to organize her backpacks full of fish while she waited to advance to the next level in her melee skills.



Once her fighting skills had improved sufficiently, Catherine set out with her good friend Shenlo to hunt the monsters north of the city. Since Catherine was now accompanied by a powerful mage, she decided that the time was right to fight the Hrekkand. The beast was powerful beyond compare and the battle lasted for a long, long time, but finally Catherine and Shenlo killed him.


Though it was rumored that the Hrekkand often dropped items of incredible power, he gave nothing at all this time.

After earning her 30/30 skills and maintaining her experience level of 28, Catherine decided to take a mage and go werebear hunting. These fearsome beasts hit hard but with Catherine's well-developed skills, she could tank them easily. She brought one of the powerful mages from the Clan of Men with her and they killed many bears together.

Though Catherine longed to achieve a high enough level to become a paladin, she still lacked experience. It would be at least another day until her goal could be achieved.
