Catherine decided to buy herself some nice jewelry with the fortune she had amassed.

Catherine hunted and trained, explored new areas and went back to the hunting ground she knew well. Through all of this, she gained much experience and improved her skills...





Catherine and Shenlo returned to the Hrekkand spawn, where Catherine tried out her Desolation Spell on the great beast.

As always, they vanquished him but came away empty-handed. Shenlo bent a couple of Melket Scouts to his will and got them to help with killing the Hrekkand.


Catherine and Manijuana invited some friends to join them for a dinner party to relax after all the hunting.


It had been a long time since Catherine got to explore new places and practice her cartography skills. She began to fill in the bits of her maps that she had not drawn out before. Catherine found a walled room with a chest inside but when she continued her exploration to try to find a way in, the way was blocked with two nasty Fire Beings. Not wanting to be roasted, she left and vowed to return another time, with a shaman...


She also went to South-Eastern Ben Qarassih to explore the dessert lands past the wraith. On her way there, the dreadlord that guarded the pass dropped his Sacred Staff as he died.


She ran past the wraith since her powerful Pirate Sword slipped right through its insubstantial ghostly form without so much as a scratch.

She took a Hunter's Bow from a golem.


She saw a sign warning her of horrible monsters and guessed that she should not proceed without a shaman.


She did, however, disregard the warning about the haunted hills...


She filled out as much of her map as she could, but soon began to run low on mana. She returned to the city of Ben Qarassih to get more supplies.

She met up with Manijuana that evening and they went ghost hunting.


The next day she returned with Shenlo so that she would not need to fear whatever evil lay ahead.
Though Catherine could not hurt the wraiths, that was not the case for Shenlo, who knew strong magics.


Catherine was glad to have a Shaman along for the beasts here seemed to gather together: Wraiths and Fire Beings, Wraiths and Raging Curses and one time, two Raging Curses, a Punisher and a Dreadlord.


Though there was still much space to explore, they grew tired and had to return to the city to rest and resupply. They would return another day to sketch more maps.

Catherine returned once again to the Hrekkand, hoping to finally steal one of his fabled items, but of course, as always, his treasures were well hidden.



Catherine's Shaman friend, Shenlo, had much better luck. Shenlo took a Mystic Long Targe from an Elder Ent.
Catherine snatched it up quickly, glad of her amassed wealth.

Catherine had been longing to try a daring quest - The Quest for the Pirate Sword. Though she already carried this fine weapon, bought for her by her beloved Manijuana, she had never undertaken to wrest one of the blades from the forges in the caves of fire.

Manijuana began the quest for her and Catherine sought out her good friend Shenlo. She knew she would not be able to withstand the fires without help from a powerful shaman. The three of them met in the city of Caerfa and traveled together into the melket caves beneath the wall. Manijuana led them to the lever which only one who had begun the quest could pull. Once the lever was pulled, they were transported to a cave of fire, where Fire Beings and Dragons awaited them. They faced each foe with courage and pressed on, deeper into the fires. They quenched the fires and left a path of destruction behind them.

Finally they reached the chest where the newly forged Pirate Swords were kept. They found milanese barbutes and some gold bars in the chest as well.

Some powerful force must have sensed them there for when they had taken the items, they were magically transported back to the melket caves before they could steal any more.

After doing the Quest for the Pirate Sword, Catherine took a long vacation. When she began to once again long for a sword in one hand and a shield strapped to the other, she decided to visit the docks and see what new and exciting lands she might journey to.

As it happened, there was a boat heading to the snowy region called Norrlun, to the city of Bersund. She paid the fare and boarded the ship. At her destination, she was greeted in this cold land by the most adorable baby penguin.

She wandered down into a cave near the docks and found more penguins and also a few arctic wolves.


Catherine wandered into the city and inquired where her sword might be of use. She was told of several places plagued with monsters of various kinds and she headed out to test her skills against these new beasts.
She found several different types of Goblins;

Quite a lot of Wargs;

A few Kidamrus;

and a few snowbeasts...

She glimpsed an Azure Dragon but ran away as it launched spells at her from a great distance. She didn't want to attempt that hunt alone.

There was a warning in one tunnel but she was tricked into a false sense of security, entering a prison for Glacial Giants...



Most of them were locked away but as she proceeded further on, she found that some had escaped.

She also found some cute but very mean little gnomes. The creatures attacked her and they were more powerful than they looked (but still no trouble for The Pink Tank, of course!)


Catherine was getting quite cold by this point. Her boots were crusted with ice, weighing her every step... Her potions were even starting to freeze! It was time to head back to the land of green grass and flowers.

She headed home to Caerfa, to visit her beloved. When she arrived, cold and tired, to their home, she was greeted by the romantic flicker of dozens of lit candles, and a new ring from her sweetheart.

Her heart melted and she remembered why she fell in love with him nearly a year ago.

Catherine struck out for Humwich with renewed vigor, enjoying the sunshine and colours all around her. She was so energetic that she ventured farther south than she had ever gone before! She found all sorts of fascinating new monsters past the golem and werebear mountain, and some monsters that she'd encountered in Bersund as well.

She found lots of Leprechauns, who of course dropped tons of gold!

She also found some items she had never seen before...

Catherine found tiny horned dragons she could easily hunt by herself,

... and Dracolichs, for which she preferred to have some professional assistance.

Some of the Cutebugs were mixed in with the other types of bugs

She found giants as well.


And she also found beautiful things...

Catherine and Manijuana decided to buy a house out in Humwich together, to be closer to these wonderful things. They found the largest, most attractive house in Humwich and moved in right away. It featured a fire stove, a large yard with a picnic table, two levels with an open-concept upstairs floorplan.... it was perfect.



They kept the place well-lit with many new candles from Bersund...

And they got a new pet; a very cute bug. They named her Lily Muffin.


After decorating their new home, they set out for the Southern hills of Humwich to hunt some more little purple dragons. They butchered the beasts, taking prizes like skin, bones and a heart, for they had heard at these could be used in quests or sold in Bersund.



The next day Catherine struck out alone in Caerfa and found she had never seen before. It had been hidden behind a mountain and after some rock shifted, she was able to climb down and pass through tunnels into a whole new area!
She found all manner of things there, but did not find the horned dragons that another explorer had told her were there.

Catherine returned to the frozen lands of Bersund by boat and hunted various types of Goblins with Manijuana. They found a few interesting items.


Manijuana was called back to the land of green and flowers but Catherine met up with her friend Shenlo and they explored more of the frozen land.
They found Azure Dragons, Ice Golems, Snowbeasts, Kidamrus and Glacial Giants. At one point they found an azure dragon outside its cave, hiding in wait with a Ice Golem! They had to fight the two together.... This was likely the dragon Catherine had run from the other day.

In their explorations, they came across a Portal... they hesitated because they didn't know what would be waiting on the other side and didn't know where it would lead, but they plunged in headfirst anyhow, always eager for a new adventure...

On the other side they found an Undead Pirate. He took a long time to kill considering he was once just a human like them, but with Catherine slashing away with her Great Slicer and Shenlo raining down spells upon him, they bested the Undead creature and moved on.

They found a chest which was protected by crystals but figured out how to open it and took the prize.

Catherine now had quite a collection of Pirate Sabres!
