Good evening everybody, as the game will soon be featuring spells in which more than only one player is taking part, I thought it would be - as we are also planning a new manual for beginners - a good idea to show the text I will contribute there about these new spells. So far, the maximum players that will be used are 2, but technically, an entire server could take part as long as the spell requires it, the technical parts are all done. Now, for a co-op spell, we have 2 persons acting different roles, a supporter and a caster. Who acts which role depends on the spell, at most spells whoever, the supporting class and the class who then finish the spells are not the same. So far, only two spells are casted by the same class, which are Short Escape (2 rogues) and Shared Pain (2 paladins). There is also a United Insight spell, which all classes have, but mages are the only ones who are able to do the support as well as rangers/warriors can only finish it, meaning it will either be warrior + mage or ranger + mage.

To successfully use the spell, the supporter first has to cast the supporting spell (names are always "<spell name> Support", showing the same icon) with the name of his caster. This will result in the caster having 7 seconds time [if the spell has a casting time, it is added to the amount, meaning if it for example takes the caster 5 seconds to cast the spell after he received support, he has 12 seconds time for it as he can't use the first 5 unless the supporter starts later, read further why], to finish the spell. Experienced players may get themselves an advantage at spells with casting time by letting the caster start with his part and have the supporter do the support one second (or even less, but if it's too much, it will fail) before the casting time is over, which would, if done accurately, result in a spell that actually needed X seconds to cast seeming to be going off instantly instead.

Furthermore, there will also be spells involving a complete party. To use these spells, nothing in particular has to be done except for all members having to be near the caster, otherwise, the spell will still work, but they will not benefit. Having mentioned Shared Pain already, this spell is sort of a mixture of a co-op and a party spell. While it is ordinarily casted as explained, it then involves the entire party, which will aid whoever has the buff with suffering from damage. As most spells are already done, we will, as soon as the final balances have been made, reveal the book containing all of them with correct values. Thanks to Shenlo/Laku who wrote that excellent piece of text.

That will not work, because the mage can only support. I see this could be rephrased, thanks.

Hmm this sounds interesting. I'm really curious to see what kind of effects this will have over gameplay.
