Following your recent messages and invaluable feedback, we are excited to announce that Ares will not stand alone! Alongside our original PvP seasonal world, a brand new non-PvP seasonal server, Gaia, will also open its gates on Friday August 29th at 18:00 (UTC).

This means that whether you crave the thrill of battle in full PvP or prefer a peaceful environment focused on hunting, quests, and achievements, Season Eight has a home for you:

- Icon Ares: the originally announced Speed Rate PvP world. A realm for champions who thrive on the thrill of battle and the risk of player combat.
- Icon Gaia: a brand new Speed Rate non-PvP world. A realm for adventurers who wish to focus on mastering the world's challenges, leveling up and competing against the fierce environment of Zezenia.

The dual server approach allows everyone to compete for the seasonal rewards in your own way. Choose your world, reserve your name, and prepare to etch your legend into this season's Hall of Fame!

Updated Seasonal Mechanics for Ares & Gaia

We have also finalized and adjusted some of the core mechanics for the season based on feedback and our new two-server structure. The following rules apply to both Ares and Gaia unless specified otherwise.

Experience Rate

The experience rate has been streamlined to offer a consistent and rewarding progression with a chance to access late game content during the season:

- Levels 1-100: 10x
- Levels 100-150: 8x
- Levels 150-200: 6x
- Levels 200-300: 4x
- Levels 300+: 3x

Skill Rate

- Skills: Advance at a 3x rate before Rebirth and a 4x rate after.
- Magic Level: Advances at a 2x rate before Rebirth and a 3x rate after.

Rebirth

The path of Rebirth has been re-envisioned as a true endgame goal.

- Players may now choose to go through Rebirth at level 300.
- Upon Rebirth, you will return to level one, keeping your skills and talent points, and you will unlock faster skill progression rates.
- A bonus of 5000 Season Points is awarded for completing Rebirth.
- The quest for completing Rebirth will be streamlined.

Season Ending

Please check the amended Season Eight Announcement for full Season Ending & transfer details.

Server-Specific Rules

Ares (PvP-Enabled)

- Characters level 30 and above can engage in PvP combat.
- Kill limits are raised: five (5) in 24 hours, ten (10) in 72 hours, and fifteen (15) per week. A black skull lasts for three (3) days.
- Gaining Season Points from PvP kills is exclusive to Ares.

Gaia (non-PvP)

- Enjoy a peaceful journey where PvP combat is disabled. Focus on hunting, questing, and climbing the high scores without interruption.
- Optional PvP is still available in arenas throughout the world and the biweekly Castle War event.

Seasonal Rewards & The Hall of Fame

The ultimate prizes remain! Reach level 300 on either server to earn the exclusive Season 8 Outfit Scroll, and collect Season Points for a host of valuable items after the season ends.

A place in the Hall of Fame awaits the legends of both Ares and Gaia! We will be crowning champions for each server across the following categories:

- Top 3 Levels*
- Top 3 First to Level 300
- Top 3 Subclasses
- Top 3 Magic Level/Melee/Distance/Defending
- Top 3 or First to 100 Gathering/Fishing/Brewing
- Top 3 Bestiary Masters
- Top 3 Boss Killers
- Top 3 Season Points

Winners will receive Premium Cards as a reward for their prowess.

We believe this new direction offers the best of both worlds and honors the diversity of our player base. We appreciate your passion and your feedback, which have been instrumental in shaping this season.

Create your character now and choose your path! Will you conquer the battlefields of Ares or master the wilderness of Gaia?

See you ingame!

Sincerely,
Zezenia Staff

Great decision about 2 servers, this would avoid many future problems!
One thing I was thinking about is the post-season issue. Maybe it would be interesting if all characters from the PVP server were mandatorily transferred to Pharos, and the characters from the non-PVP server were mandatorily transferred to Elysium. Wouldn’t that make more sense?
We would just have to find some way so that these servers don't die quickly due to the low number of active players.

Administrator and Lupus Aurelius
I would like to thank the staff for listening to the community.

I know I was one of the people who complained the most in the last post about the decision to make the server full PvP. My criticism came from the feeling that the staff was listening only to players from Pharos and forgetting that the people from Elysium are also part of the community.

Because of this, I will play on the Seasonal server, just like several people from my team. I’m glad the staff is opening two servers even knowing that both will have a lower population. Testing this way is a very good decision.

From my side, I will try to bring new players and streamers, and encourage them to play and help Zezenia grow. Actions like this show that the staff is changing and starting to really listen to the community.

My complaint generated engagement from many others who felt the same way but stayed quiet, not wanting to publicly criticize the staff’s decision.

So once again, thank you to the staff for this decision, for listening to the WHOLE community, and for not excluding the people from Elysium.

Just like I play Tibia Retro Hardcore to humiliate and dominate, I play Zezenia to dominate and humiliate my enemies. If you choose to be against me, that’s your problem — you made your choice, and I will kill you.

I’d like to make a proposal regarding the transfer skill. For those currently playing, we know how important this skill is for both Rangers and Warriors. It’s a limiting factor and difficult to obtain through any means other than investing a lot of time. For players who wish to continue playing their characters after the end of a Seasonal server, this can be seen as a barrier. I’ll use the Pharos server as an example, since it had a higher level of skill progression:

A level 300 character with skill 100 is not appealing to new players (considering how long the server has been online), and even for existing players, it’s not great to have to leave characters training for months or even years to reach an acceptable skill level.

If we consider the last server, the top melee skill wasn't very high (reaching 108), and only one person seemed really dedicated to training distance (reaching 116, while others were around 109).

Which brings us to the main point: would it be possible to better make use of the skill gains from Seasonal servers? I understand the idea of reducing them to fit into the target server’s balance, but I doubt many players would find it appealing to transfer a character with skill 100 into a world where others are playing with skills at 150/200. I'm not taking away any credit from those who’ve trained for years — far from it — but if we want to see new players coming in, we need to give them more access to what everyone else already has.

I personally see no issue with players leaving Seasonal servers with 110–120 skill, depending on what they’ve achieved during the season. For example, in Season 7, what would be the problem with a Ranger transferring a character with skill 116 to servers where characters already have 150+ (combined across both worlds) and many players have over 130 skill?

Season Seven
- MELEE:
Top 1 skill level: 108
Top 2 skill level: 103
Top 3 skill level: 102

- DISTANCE:
Top 1 skill level: 116
Top 2 skill level: 109
Top 3 skill level: 107

Season Six
- MELEE:
Top 1 skill level: 124
Top 2 skill level: 122
Top 3 skill level: 121

- DISTANCE:
Top 1 skill level: 128
Top 2 skill level: 126
Top 3 skill level: 124

I feel that all the values from the last two servers are far from outrageous, and I wouldn’t be surprised to see new characters with these attributes being transferred to other servers.

This is just a personal thought — maybe a daydream or something unnecessary — but I do believe it’s worth bringing up. If anything was unclear or I didn’t express myself properly at any point, I’m happy to explain again if needed.

Sorry for the inconvenience, and have a great day.

Season Seven
- MELEE:
Top 1 skill level: 108
Top 2 skill level: 103
Top 3 skill level: 102

- DISTANCE:
Top 1 skill level: 116
Top 2 skill level: 109
Top 3 skill level: 107

Season Six
- MELEE:
Top 1 skill level: 124
Top 2 skill level: 122
Top 3 skill level: 121

- DISTANCE:
Top 1 skill level: 128
Top 2 skill level: 126
Top 3 skill level: 124
