I agree 100% that the guild war system needs some improvements. Having a dedicated dialog for guild wars ingame would also be a better system than the single NPC we have now. I'll take your proposals into account when I design the new system.
One detail that caught my attention was that you claim people will accidentally get unjustified frags if they don't notice their enemy guild has ended the war (or left the guild). Don't war enemies always have a red health bar, so you can easily identify people that are justified kills? About the Anti-PK thing. I think extending the amount of frags or adding a black name between the current red name and the ban would cause trouble since killing people randomly would be even easier. It's very disheartening for new players to get killed by stronger people. With the current system, high levels most likely won't waste an unjustified frag on some newbie. I would assume that a proper war system would be a much more elegant solution for people who want to PVP a lot. |

Thanks for answering, hopefully that a new guild war system gets implemented into the game as soon as possible :D
Quoting K-Zodron: Don't war enemies always have a red health bar, so you can easily identify people that are justified kills? Well, yes, it works. I saw an enemy without the red health bar and that's how I noticed when the other guild canceled the war system without informing me. The problem is in some situations. I met this enemy in depot, we were relaxed, but imagine if we were about to fight an open battle of 10 vs 10, I go see one of them enter and leave my screen really fast, I rush back, leave the screen and load my Pyromancer's combo. Then I already rush into their team and I have less than 4 seconds to notice they are not with red health bar anymore and also manage to leave the screen so I dont get red skull for the unjust kills. Isn't that very annoying? Not to mention warlocks, that fight open battles loading combos and attack the first target that shows up on the screen. Also, it's frustrasting when you gather a team to kill an enemy that fought in war mode like half an hour before and when you finnaly find where he is, you see he is not in war system anymore and you wasted all that time for basically nothing, since he has broken the pact of war without even informing you and there you are, with all your team - or 1~2 allies - to kill him, but will have to risk taking unjust kill and pzlocking on him, so entire server can attack you and kill you without being unjust = very unfair for someone that was expecting an enemy inside war system. Quoting K-Zodron: I think extending the amount of frags or adding a black name between the current red name and the ban would cause trouble since killing people randomly would be even easier. It's very disheartening for new players to get killed by stronger people. Couldn't something like that be implemented especifically for Everath tho? Even if its not a black name, but just a little bit of kill limits increasement, either for all the possible kills or just for the kills you have whilst already being red name, but before being banished for 20 days... Regarding the new players getting killed by stronger players, it depends, sometimes it motivates them to level up, become stronger and take revenge on that previously stronger player - alone or either joining a team - and sometimes they just feel scared and upset, but in my opinion, from Tartarus and Platon, most cases are about people that wanna become stronger to kill whoever killed them. This is only a real problem when that player gets killed repeatedly by the same high lvl killer, that's a real problem, so I must agree that it can be more harmful than actually bring benefits...but there's still a problem, the 20 days lenght banishment for the account: Quoting K-Zodron: I would assume that a proper war system would be a much more elegant solution for people who want to PVP a lot. Yes, I agree with that, it could even stimulate people to do war systems, since it would not just be as it is now where you can only kill freely, but people can leave it anytime for free...war systems would have a meaning. There's still one problem, tho. Are 20 days lenght of banishment really needed as penalty for players on Everath? Can't it be decreased to 10 or 7 days? Atleast for Everath, since you gain experience 10x faster, even a case of massive random pker would not be as harmful as on other servers with 1x experience rate! Also, Pyromancers cannot combo, they have to be very careful and they can still get banished just from 1 combo... In a fight without war system too, you can be banished as a warlock/ranger on Everath, since people care less about to die than in other servers due to the 10x experience and 1x death loss, so they keep coming back and the fights last way longer than in other servers, therefore, the pvp system of this server must be reviewed, even if it's just the 20 days banishment lenght itself! (considering that warriors are more of a support class and usually take less frags than mages/rangers). |

BUMP for a possible answer.
Also, can't the banishment for excessive killing on Murderer's state be reduced from 20 to 7 days ON EVERATH? |
