After some testing, I'll write what I think about it.
As Kurtius said, it was not fair to lauch such PvP patch without a prior Test Server to put the theory in practice and check if everything was in fact balanced or not. The removal of piercing armor would be awesome, but the formula needs to be reviewed in order to be really good: I've used my Barbarian lvl 107 79/79(+17/-10) to test with a Lvl 80 ranger (75+14 skills - using Arbalest 21 atk) hiting me, another lvl 72 Shaman and my ranger lvl 59(71/30~) The Ranger hit my Barbarian for 114. He hit the shaman for 220~300 and hit my lvl 59 ranger for 330-. Another testing, with a lvl 34 ranger, skills 61(No Buff - using Arbalest atk 21) against my Barbarian 79/79. The ranger was not dealing any damage at all on my Barbarian, he only pooffed, the maxhimum he hit me was 1... But when he tested against my lvl 59 ranger(71/30~), he hit me for 120~200. Same against my level 100 Pyromancer, 120~200 hits. The all idea was awesome, but the results were not the expected ones. I hope Staff reviews the formula of piercing armor removal so that rangers actually hit less on warriors, but atleast hit something. The idea of removing the piercing armor was GREAT, but the problem is that the formula is not good, rangers are dealing almost no damage on warriors and it should be reviewed as soon as possible. I hope the formula gets checked before the launch of the next update, so we can all check it and see if it's balanced or not during the Test Server! __________________________________________________________________________________________________ About the crossbows changes: I honestly do not understand why it was changed. Maybe it would make sense in 1~3 months, after most rangers reach skills 80~90+ and become able to headshot mid-high level mages alone or even high level rangers with a small team of low level rangers... So, atleast, review the attack damage from Arbalest, War Bow, Golden Bow and Long Bow. It's pretty easy to loot an arbalest, when compared to a war bow and it still has even more attack damage than a war bow... I have not checked yet if it was already done, but I suggest you to increase the NPC price of Arbalest, so it can actually make some sense, since a War bow is worth 105k and has 20,5 attack while an Arbalest of 21 attack worths 65k only. Good job tho, but please focus on reviewing the piercing armor formula, it's really not fair the way it is. Thanks in advance. |

22nd February 2014 15:10:21 Quoting Leary: Quoting Avathar: I created marksman in non-pvp and need high damage. Now rogues have the most damage .. everything was reversed, this is ridiculous rogues are new marksmans!!!!!!!!! Quoting Faustin: Gotta say, this makes no sense to me... they reduced marksman so hard, rogue is even better in everyway. cheaper atk spells in mana. buff still is +14 (+16 with rings). Isnt marksman suppose to be stronger? Rogues is the new marksman LOL. The subclass rogue is for pvp, so it want a better hits than marksman, a supporter/shotter class like after of the global reset. I'm sorry, this is more ridiculous. is the same as getting the buff barbarian and put the paladin. reversed the characteristics of the class, I played until lvl 110 with Marks by buff is better than rogue. now to become stronger rogue is like changing the barbarians for paladins. this very wrong. |
