Today we have patched the game to implement a simple and short beginner tutorial, which replaces the old Sakanrel beginner island entirely. We also took the opportunity to release a few bugfixes and some class and subclass balancing. A new client version is required. If the ingame patcher does not work (try running the client with administrator privileges), you can redownload the client from the website's Download section.
Beginner Tutorial The Sakanrel island is no longer available. Instead, we have implemented a short beginner tutorial that explains some of the most basic game features and gives new players a little bit of experience, skills and starting equipment. The tutorial shouldn't take longer than 5 to 10 minutes to complete. We'll keep tweaking the tutorial further, and any feedback is also very welcome. As we updated the map to add the new islands, as well as to fix a number of old map bugs, some areas that are still under construction for the next content update are temporarily unreachable. Specifically this means that the hunting grounds south-east of Humwich are not available now. Balancing - Dark Spikes: went from (lvl+mlvl) * 700 millisec duration, 15 sec CD, mlvl 30 and 180 mana to 15 sec duration, 60 sec cooldown, mlvl 45 and 250 mana - Soul Vanishing: went from 30 minutes duration and 40 minutes cooldown to 15 minutes duration and 30 minutes cooldown - Magical Upsurge: factor went from 0.35 to 0.5 wich will give a little boost in the mlvl bonus - Firewall: went from (lvl+mlvl) * 400 millisec duration, 90 sec CD, mlvl 40 and 380 mana to 20 sec duration, 60 sec cooldown, mlvl 45 and 380 mana - Rocky Ascension: went from (lvl+mlvl) * 800 millisec duration, 8 sec CD, mlvl 25 and 90 mana to 20 sec duration, 40 sec cooldown, mlvl 25 and 90 mana - Blind Rush: CD increased to 40 sec - Dead Silence: went from 20 minutes duration and 27 minutes cooldown to 15 minutes duration and 30 minutes cooldown - Bolt price changed from 3gp to 2 gp - Crossbow type weapons changed to match normal bows in speed and damage - Ranger's piercing has been taken out Fixes - Fixed bug where market items would be removed when right clicking on history log - Sages have ability to #mute - Market NPC added to Ben Qarassih depot - Some spell effects emit light - Chat renamed to English to make the language clear - Open Channel dialog shortcut CTRL+P added - Walking via the minimap pathfinding improved Please report any bugs and give your constructive on the forum, either in this thread or under the topic's own board. Great! Gotta love that subclasses balancing!! Rogue's buff will not have HP+Mana reduction as Marksman's buff has tho? (only asking because it was mentioned a couple weeks ago). The tutorial is finished when you reach Ademar. Talking to the monk in the temple is optional. Initially, it was a part of the tutorial, but since the "wall of text" he spams out could be pretty overwhelming for people who do not speak English, I made it an optional step that the majority of players can (and probably should) ignore. The pathfinding indeed seems to be limited a bit too agressively right now, I'll release a patch for that later. |

hmm I see...well, it's like......wow. Is is Zezenia?lol So good tutorial island, awesome job, will definitely give a way different first impression for newcommers.
I suggest to implement a portuguese and spanish version, it'd be great. And also implement a "wall of text" that explains the Options tab, for example, that people can drag the backpacks/inventory/map window all over the screen! Most people get very surprised when they notice it. |

Did u realy need to rename Chat "English" as this is also name of my main char.I have been useing name "English" for 14 months, please rename Chat something else as it is already causing confusion. A reply would be nice Thanks

Is there any way to get the items I had in depot in Sank? (without going to main) Also, is there a way to get back out of the little fire cave with Ademar? I go back up the ladder, but I can't go walking around the island. Am I trapped in that little cave forever?
Sank was my favorite place, but I can see why ppl would like to go through it quicker and get to main. I guess I will look odd at lvl 22 in the fire cave, haha |
