Weapons Proposal
Implement on the game, different weapon fighting style, for exemple, two handed weapons , dual wielding, polearms and others... An upgrade on the damage of throwing weapons can also be cool. On an RPG you have pros and counters... like: Close combat weapons Sword and shield -> More defence, moderate attack power, moderate attack speed Dual wield -> Moderate defense, moderate attack power, high attack speed Two handed weapons -> Less Defense, hihg attack power, moderate attack speed Distance weapons Bow -> Higher distance, moderate attack power, moderate shot cadence Crossbow -> Moderate (or higher or slightly less) distance, higher attack power, slow shot cadence Throwing weapons -> Less distance, moderate attack power (based on the thrower skill more than weapon), fast shot cadence What do I mean with this? All weapons are good in their own ways, there must be a system to show those circumstances... A throwing weapon to Bullseye can be so deadly as a gun to the Punisher or the bow to the Green Arrow... I really like this idea, it would change the gameplay depending on the type of monster you're attacking.

I just gave some exemples... I forgot to tell about Polearms also... that have more distance...
Also we have some differences between: Swords: Balanced Weapons, not that powerfull but provide a great defence when prone another weapon... Moderate penetration on armors Axes: Heavy weapons, very powerful, but don't have that defense cause everytime the blade goes down, it stucks and cause of the weight, takes a little while to get the axe up again to defend yourself (unbalanced weapon)... moderate penetration on armors. Hammers: Heavy wepons, blunt attack (not powerful as an axe), unbalanced (less defence)... Full amor penetration... normally, blunt weapons deliver the full attack power even on armored target... cause the impact is inflicted directly on the body, no matter if armored or not. Spears: Polearm, piercing atack, long weapon, normally spears have wooden handholds, making it unable to defent with it. And a steel spear is too heavy. Spears have regular damage, but can fully thrust an armor. Anyway, there's A LOT, of points to explore when you think about fighting styles, weapon styles and such... just giving some exemples... But weapon balance is very important, because of this, the swords must have the highest defense, theyr the best balance weapons, and the heavy weapons have less defence, cause u loose balance at each attack. |

Absolutely barbaric!
Barbarian would make more sense since most real barbarians use two handed weapons, atleast I think lul. Making two handed weapons double the damage, there should also be some 2H weapons for only to use 2H example like barabarian axe. Barbarian is supposed to be able to hand out the most melee damage to opponents. There should also be some disadvantages, less defensive, less armor. Signed |

lets get real, this actual system of weapons is broken. It only works on a new server and broke after a few weeks. The same thing happened with tibia, so they add the system of levels on the items.
Today, a new warrior starts and after 1 month playing he is already with an assassinator, for example For sure we should add some new systems about it, like attack speed, damage, defense, magic attack, etc.. |
