As dungeons are now, it's just an area you need to pay premium to get into for safe hunting with a small bonus at the end. No new content, definitely no real need for the team they require, not even a boss or anything at the end. It's literally just clearing a hallway of monsters.

I propose that we revamp the dungeon system to one, be more accessible by giving an allowance of dungeon access and premium cards can buy extra entries (this is fair since some of the dungeons are premium exclusive anyway).

Second, we should make the content a little more complex so that the teams required for entry are actually needed. Introduce puzzle mechanics to the dungeons maybe and elements forcing every player to do their part and work together. (Ex: complex switch puzzles involving three people properly positioning themselves as they open access to the rest of the puzzle for eachother and the final switch opens all the bridges or points for the players to reunite at the end. Meanwhile monsters will continue to spawn until the puzzle is solved.)

Third, the dungeons should definitely have unique bosses that could even introduce puzzle style fight mechanics. Consider a boss with a visual buff similar to an enraged monster. It could deal with ingame lore too. Say someone found a way to force the enraged state of momsteds and is responsible for the creation and spread of the rage elixirs as it was an expiriment to perfect the recipe for an elixir that would allow unparalleled power. The fight could occur in the location of the lab where a large device remains that is used to neutralize the potion effect as a sort of safety if one of the experiments got out.
The boss fight would again involve a sort of switch puzzle like the rest of the dungeon inwhich the players need to work together when the boss has a special enrage status active (pulse effect that makes him invulnerable) to get the boss caught in a trap that temporarily deactivates the bosses buff and makes him vulnerable again. You could easily add challenges to this fight as well. Say for example that upon activation of the device to deactivate the elixir, it would also release creatures that were meant to handle the rogue expiriment into the arena. So just getting the boss vulnerable doesn't mean you've won since you also have to deal with additional creatures being added into the battle. Since the bosses are in locations that force you to have a team you could easily make them more complex than the open world bosses currently existing.

These changes would largely increase the appeal of dungeons to existing players with promises of new content and a reason to revisit the old dungeons they used to know as well as add an entirely new concept to the game. It would be a lot of work, yes, but honestly the existing dungeons seem lazy to me anyway. Like an unfinished idea where a near useless reward was thrown in for an extremely expensive grind.

Nice! I didnt try the harder dungeons but up to the dragon ones it felt very lacking :/ Maybe a system where youd be limited on supply could make it challenging too? And the higher level the less you get so a high level warrior couldnt just solo clear it, maybe that would make shaman a bit more viable for their heals and such ;D Not sure how to balance that out but i'm sure someone could! Id sure love to see a bit more work done with dungeons, they are a great feature, just not worked on much :')

+1!

I guess people just don't care about the dungeons at all. Unfortunate considering how much they could potentially add to the games lore and content.

If not revamping the old dungeons, why not make a new one with some of these concepts in mind? Imagine a giant tower being discovered under the glaciers of bersund made entirely out of the ancient and mysterious material known as vozuth.
A team of veteran explorers could delve into the tower conquering a new challenge on every floor.

The first room you would be on the peak of the sunken tower where you could see ruins of an altar that appeared to house some sort of relic based off of writings around the room. Puzzles in the tower could undo security measures meant to protect what was on the top. Players would need to be cautious of old decaying floors and hidden traps lest they be separated from their comrades or launched into unknown dangers. As you progress further down the tower you learn more and more about the old society that constructed it and just what it was they were trying to protect, as well as what they were protecting it from. They would learn of hints of an evil beings influence and how it lead to the corruption of various creatures thus creating he xyaoquan monsters we've seen all over (beetles, ents, dragons, etc)

The tower would be full of new monsters not before seen in zezenia. Players first sights of ancient machines used to protect the old society and serve them in different ways. Vozuth Sentries and Golems. Corrupted vozuth clad Knights under the influence of xyaoquan. Large mutated creatures that became deformed from the dark powers corrupting them. As players approach the base of the tower they would discover the exit was blocked by an immobile mutant of sorts whose body was spread out through the room that serves as a sort of nest for other beasts.(players would need to target specific parts to defeat it)
The team would need to work together to subdue the living nest while keeping monsters flooding out of it at bay.

This boss would spawn once a day and players would be able to access the outside of the tower as long as someone had killed the boss. The boss itself wouldn't drop anything valuable. The main body would open up (cut open) revealing the exit of the tower.

Exiting the tower players could discover corrupted remains of an old city constructed entirely out of Vozuth. This area could serve as a base for tons of end game content. Many quests revealing the history behind the vozuth material, what certain demons (such as the dreadlords that drop vozuth legs) actually are and where they came from, and plenty of quests relating to the source of the xyaoquan monsters as well as a lead on a new boss, which of course would be zezenias second look at a large scale team boss fight.

A new concept is good... but Also, the payment could be in premium cards per day... not per shot.

With 1 premium card per dragon dungeon for exemple... or you have a good luck, or it doesn't worth.

1 premium card per day, then you could go at every one hour... could be great.

There could easily be a dungeon ticket system separate from premium cards where players could do a daily task to obtain 5 of them. Players could also purchase more using p cards at an npc.

The npc's could be added to Osvald and Thorvalds buildings as members of the same business.

That way free players can be introduced to the dungeon system but it's still worth paying premium for faster access
